At the NUJ House, journalists once again found opportunity to hail and backslap with each other. Some elders and veterans such as Hon Ogbonnaya Nwuke, Pastor Jerry Needam and Uncle Mike Iwezor added prestige to the gathering, all to honour and celebrate the NAWOJ PowerHorse, Susan Nwikara. This is a lady many like to support because she does everything to support others.
To throw Happy Christmas, Happy New Year, and rare Happy Hour when no one cares for newsmen anymore is very wonderful. Time was in this PH when Journalists were hosted every Christmas in Govt House, House of Assembly, and in many IOCs compounds. Not anymore.
We hugged those we love and those we missed since the elections. The moment became so sweet that the fish pepper-soup took new taste, probably bc it was intended to serve women’s guests. What some soup. Mine was sweetest, or so I think.
Thank you, Susan, for the moment you created with your birthday. As Chief Ogboo prayed, celebration will not cease in your life. More years, more leadership positions, more happiness, happier hours for all journalists. NAMEJ over to us!
