Chief Corporate Communications Officer, NNPC Limited, Andy Odeh disclosed that NOG Energy Week Conference & Exhibition 2026 was a great reminder that while the stage sets the public agenda, it’s often the quiet conversations between sessions that actually move things forward.
Odeh was elated that it was good catching up with colleagues, regulators, partners, the media and friends across the energy value chain. Some meetings were on the calendar; others happened on the sidelines. It all created value for the industry.
NNPC Limited was at the center of discourse from advancing gas projects and strategic relationships to building investor confidence.
Odeh was of the view that the conference was a clear shift in the overall tone across the room with far less talk about ambition, and much more focus on execution in the industry.
Practical and grounded issues on better collaboration, unlock real value faster and building an environment that inspires lasting confidence with consistently deliver on energy security were at the front burner.

Odeh said shared alignment is already delivering results. Looking back over the past year, Nigeria’s energy industry is clearly finding its stride. Pipeline availability reaching 100 percent, gas production approaching 7.7 billion standard cubic feet per day, crude oil production at about 1.7 million barrels per day, and milestones such as Renaissance Africa Energy Company’s JK-004 discovery tell the story of an industry building real momentum through performance.
None of these milestones happen by chance. They happen when leadership, partnership, and a shared sense of purpose come together across the sector to turn conversations into progress.
