The Women in Maritime and Energy (WIME) Awards is an advocacy platform that amplifies, recognizes and celebrates the achievements of women who are making impactful contributions in the maritime and energy sectors.
The organization in commemoration of International Women in Engineering Day (June 23), International Day of Women in Diplomacy (June 24), and the Day of the Seafarer (June 25) has scheduled to hold a webinar in honour of these exceptional women.
According to the WIME Advisory Board Chairperson Dr. Chizoba Anyika, the commemoration event is part of a broader effort to promote gender inclusion and equity in industries where women remain underrepresented.
We are excited to host this high-impact global webinar themed “Anchored in Purpose: Women Leading the Charge on Land and Sea” on Monday June 30, 2025. The landmark event will spotlight dynamic women leaders across the maritime, engineering, energy, and policy sectors.
In view of the various remarkable impacts these women are making within these sectors, we urge stakeholders to plan to participate in the engagement.
The two-hour virtual gathering will feature a keynote address, an engaging panel discussion, inspirational spotlight stories, and a live audience Q&A session.
“Anchored in Purpose” aims to amplify women’s voices, celebrate the resilience, commitment, and achievements of these women while providing a platform for them to share practical strategies on how to accelerate gender inclusion across male-dominated industries.
She further assured that the webinar will converge professionals, students, development partners, and thought leaders from around Nigeria. Therefore it is a must attendance for every forward looking Stakeholder.
