Sterling Oil Exploration and Energy Production Company Limited (SEEPCO) launched its flagship “Global Sustainability Campaign.” This initiative is to integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) values into Nigeria’s energy landscape, one of Africa’s fastest-growing oil exploration and production companies.
The positive initiative is the company’s journey towards building a more inclusive and sustainable future through measurable social impact.
Mr. Oluyemi Sunday Baiyewu, an educator, told his story to SEEPCO sustainable team.
“I am Oluyemi Sunday Baiyewu from King Emmanuel Schools. I am the current Director of the school, having assumed office in January 2026 following the statutory retirement of our Emeritus Director.”
“As an educator, one lesson I have learnt is that children’s success is not built on academics alone. Their emotional well-being matters just as much. Putting smiles on the faces of children is key to nurturing their emotional well-being and creating a positive learning environment.”
“Although we continue to face challenges in the education sector from time to time, we have always tried, in our own little way as an institution, to put smiles on the faces of children and their families.”
“There have been instances where children joined our school facing academic and personal difficulties. However, through the collective efforts of our teaching and support staff, many of these children have transformed and gone on to become some of our brightest students. Seeing such progress gives us hope and strengthens our commitment to continue investing in the lives of young people.”
