As part of its cooperate social responsibility and in the spirit of Christmas, the northern cross rivers navy wives association Rivers state chapter has donated food and toiletries to children at the port Harcourt children home , in Borokiri port Harcourt.
The President General of NCROWA. Mrs. Monica Ogwa led members of the group to hand over the items to the matron of the home, Sunday December 11th, 2022.
Speaking with journalists shortly after the donation, Mrs. Monica Ogwa said the move was born out of the group’s desire to share with those in needs and improve the welfare of children at the home.
The president general of NCRONWA while commending the rivers state government for its commitment towards the upbringing of the children called on other well-meaning groups and individuals to also donate to the home to help improve the lives of children there.
Our correspondent reports that the general secretary of NCROWA, Mrs. Lucinda Orubor registered gifts donated to the home to include. Cartons of noodles, tissue paper, antiseptic and detergent amongst many other items.
