Over 5,000 indigenes from Ogun West Senatorial District have declared their support for Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI), urging him to contest the 2027 governorship election in Ogun State.
The call was made during a massive solidarity gathering organized by Ogun Visionaries, a socio-political movement advocating equitable representation and good governance in the state.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Sodiq Adewale Omotayo (HSA)—CEO of Hasbunalllah Global Travels and Tours Limited and aspirant for the House of Representatives, Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency—affirmed that the people of Ogun West are united in their call for Senator Adeola’s candidacy.
Hon. Omotayo described Senator Adeola as a visionary leader with a proven record of service and performance, both at the state and national levels, noting that his leadership has brought tangible development to Ogun West.
“We believe Senator YAYI embodies the leadership qualities Ogun State needs at this time. His commitment to grassroots empowerment, infrastructure development, and inclusive governance makes him the right man for the job in 2027,” Omotayo said.
Also speaking, Engr. Alade Jimoh urged the ruling party to ensure that the right candidate emerges in the 2027 elections, emphasizing that Ogun West deserves a fair opportunity to produce the next governor of the state.
“It is time for justice and balance in Ogun politics. The party must prioritize equity by supporting Senator YAYI, who has consistently demonstrated loyalty, capacity, and vision,” he stated.
His Royal Majesty Ọba (Arc) Olusegun Ayinde Feyijimi Iroko (Gbadewolu 1), The Oniroko of Iroko Land amongst other royal fathers, Hon. Sheriff Abiodun Yusuf aka Ibeman, Hon. Segun Ojolowo Ojuko, Baba Ayedogbon, were in attendance.
The event drew a large crowd of community leaders, youth groups, market women, artisans, and political stakeholders from across the five local government areas of Ogun West, all reaffirming their collective support for Senator Adeola’s anticipated bid for the governorship.
