Energy Institute to Create Platform for Stakeholders on Pathway towards Sustainable Energy Future for Nigeria

As governments and companies worldwide grapple with the twin challenges of climate change and access to energy, a diverse mix of energy supply and demand technologies will be required. These challenges have inspired us at the Energy Institute (EI) Nigeria to create a platform for all stakeholders to discuss the pathway towards a sustainable energy future for Nigeria, with the clear knowledge that oil and gas companies will be an important part of the solution. For the industry, this means changing business models, using emission reduction, capture and storage technologies and building capacity among the workforce towards more sustainable operations.

The Energy Sustainability Conference (ESC) was designed to create a platform for professionals to exchange knowledge and experience in this global journey to transit to a cleaner, safe, and more sustainable energy system. The ESC has now become an all-embracing platform that brings stakeholders together to share their views on how energy mix dynamics can meet the needs of the present without compromising the needs of future generations.

Past participants in the ESC have found the plenary discussions, break-out sessions, and networking, invaluable even as they fashion-out out innovative solutions to critical energy issues and challenges facing them on a daily basis. The theme for this year’s conference is “Accelerating Sustainable Energy Solutions through Policy Formulation: Prospects and Limitations” scheduled to be held on the 20thand 21st of October 2021 at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
