The 12th edition of Nigeria Energy concluded at the Landmark Event Centre, Lagos, after three days of strategic dialogue, technology showcases, and industry collaboration, under the theme “Powering Nigeria Through Investment, Innovation, and Partnership.” The event brought together more than 8,500 energy professionals, 90+ speakers, and 150+ exhibitors from across Africa and beyond.
Endorsed by the Federal Ministry of Power, the event delivered measurable stakeholder value as investors, developers, and technology providers held business meetings and initiated partnerships aimed at accelerating power infrastructure development and expanding sustainable energy solutions across Nigeria and West Africa.
Across the three days, sessions explored opportunities in renewable integration, energy efficiency, hydrogen economy, grid optimization, and electricity market reforms. Speakers stressed that achieving reliable and accessible power will require greater private sector involvement, enhanced technology adoption, and financing models that align with Nigeria’s long-term energy transition goals.
On the exhibition floor, companies showcased solutions spanning transmission, distribution, off-grid systems, clean energy, and digital technologies. Attendees engaged in knowledge exchange and commercial discussions, reflecting Nigeria Energy’s growing role as a market-enabling platform for collaboration, innovation, and investment.
Reflecting on the success of this year’s edition, Ade Yesufu, Exhibition Director, Energy Portfolio (MEA), Informa Markets, remarked, “What we have seen over the past three days is an industry ready to take bold steps toward transformation. From gas-to-power and renewables to grid modernization and efficiency, the private sector is no longer on the sidelines; it is leading Nigeria’s power transition. Nigeria Energy remains the convergence point for ideas, investments, and collaborations that will define the next phase of energy growth in the region.”
With electricity demand in Nigeria projected to reach 45,662 MW by 2030, according to the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, continued public-private cooperation is essential to unlock capital, scale innovation, and strengthen the power value chain for long-term impact.
Nigeria Energy is the biggest annual energy convening in West Africa, serving as the premier platform for government and private sector collaboration across the power value chain. With another successfully executed edition under its belt, Nigeria Energy 2025 has reaffirmed its position as the region’s foremost forum where policy direction, business interests, and innovation opportunities converge.
Notable attendees at Nigeria Energy 2025 included Hon. Adebayo Adelabu, Honourable Minister of Power; Biodun Ogunleye, Honourable Commissioner of Power, Lagos State; Dr. Musiliu Oseni, Honourable Commissioner at the National Electricity Regulatory Commission; and Sadiq Wanka, Special Advisor to the President on Power Infrastructure. The event also brought together leaders from across Nigeria’s power value chain, including Abba Aliyu, MD/CEO of the Rural Electrification Agency; Dere Otubu, Chairman of Eko Electricity Distribution Company; and Jennifer Adighije-Okolo, MD/CEO of Niger Delta Power Holding Company. A standout moment was the “Powered by Her” session, moderated by Sharon Paul, which delivered a compelling conversation on the role of women in driving Nigeria’s energy transition.
