…13th edition brings government leaders, industry experts and energy suppliers together to address Nigeria’s pressing power challenges
As Nigeria works to turn energy reforms into more reliable electricity supply, Nigeria Energy 2026 will bring together government leaders, regulators, investors and technology providers to examine the decisions needed to improve power delivery.
Returning for its 13th edition from 27–29 October at Landmark Centre, the event is expected to welcome more than 1,500 conference delegates, with over 40 sessions and 120+ speakers addressing grid performance, investment, generation reliability and Nigeria’s growing electricity needs.
Despite significant installed generation capacity, Nigeria continues to face challenges with transmission infrastructure, gas availability and electricity supply. With pressure mounting to improve reliability and attract investment, the focus is shifting from policy reform to measurable results.
“Nigeria’s electricity challenge is no longer just about investment, policy reforms or installed capacity; it is about delivering reliable, affordable and accessible power to the people and businesses that need it most. Until electricity is consistently available to the average Nigerian household and businesses can operate without the crippling cost of alternative power, our energy transition remains incomplete,” said Ade Yesufu, Exhibition Director – Energy Portfolio, inD.
The conference programme will feature senior figures including H.E. Joseph Tegbe, Honourable Minister of Power, Federal Republic of Nigeria; Ademola Ogunbanjo, President and CEO of Oando Energy Resources; Dr. Chinyere Almona, Director General of the Lagos State Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI); and Dapo Adesina, President of the Electric Mobility Promoters Association of Nigeria (EMPAN).
Two conferences will address different sides of Nigeria’s power challenge. The Nigeria Energy Leadership Summit will examine investment, grid performance, electricity market reform and gas-to-power reliability, including a debate on whether Nigeria’s power market is ready to scale to 10,000 MW.
The Technical Excellence Forum will focus on the practical work needed to improve energy infrastructure, with sessions on grid cybersecurity, AI-powered fault detection, energy efficiency and EV charging.
Alongside the conferences, the exhibition will connect energy professionals with suppliers including Sun King, Allied Talent Partners and Eauxwell, giving visitors opportunities to meet exhibitors, explore products and services, and discuss their business requirements.
The event will also host the Innovation Challenge Finale, where energy startups will pitch ideas to investors and industry leaders, and Powered by Her, featuring women in operational and investment leadership roles.
