Speaking at the third edition award ceremony of Energy Times, Chairman Editorial Board, Mallam Yakubu Lawal, made it known to captains of industries, dignitaries, awardees and invited guests that the maiden edition was successful.

Mallam Lawal pointed out that Energy Times is a specialized publication covering oil and gas, power, global finance and energy markets.

He said the company was duly registered and incorporated in 2015 while the maiden edition of the publication was in March 2017 nine years ago.

It began with a weekly publication and has since evolved into a by-weekly newspaper based in Lagos with operational presence in Port Harcourt and Abuja as well as international footprints in United Kingdom and the United States of America.

In its quest for integrity, excellence and transparency, Energy Times Award screening committee has been faithfully reviewed and selected to award recipients based on merit.

It remained committed to professionalism and to deliver accurate, credible and timely information to its growing leadership across the globe.

“Today’s award, the third in the series designed to recognize and celebrate the outstanding contribution of these stakeholders to the growth and development of the energy sector. We strongly believe that this recognition will not only inspire continued investment in the sector, but also encourage the formulation and implementation of policies and foster a more conducive environment for sustainable growth.”

Mallam Lawal submitted that Energy Times logo is composed of four key colors, red, white, black and blue. These colors collectively represent the complete energy value chain, symbolizing the company’s role as a comprehensive and authoritative media platform covering all segments of the industry, from upstream oil and gas to midstream, downstream and the power sector.

Red colour represents fire, white represent gas, black represent crude oil and blue represents the nation.

“While I heartily congratulate our award winners, I must also express our profound appreciation to our esteemed leaders, subscribers, sponsors and event partners whose consistent support, particularly through advertisement has sustain its operation over the years.”

He said the energy sector is currently experiencing turbulence due to the political tension around the Middle East and development around the Strait of Hormuz.

However, these challenges may also present a new opportunity for investment and growth. In the power sector, several reforms are underway to address long standing challenges and robust private sector participation. If diligently implemented, these reforms will significantly include service delivery for Nigerians
