World Stage Limited (WorldStage) a Nigerian-based fast growing media group has announced major editorial employments with Mr Bamidele Famoofo, a distinguished award winning business journalist joining as the Editor.
Famoofo is a seasoned Nigerian journalist and immediate past Managing Editor of Business a.m. Newspaper, with over two decades of experience in the media industry including at The Comet, ThisDay, The Punch among others. He’s known for driving impactful business and financial reporting, and has written articles on various topics, including finance, investment, and economy.
Famoofo is taking over as Editor from Segun Adeleye, the founder of WorldStage who will remain the Editor-In-Chief and President/CEO of the group.
As part of strategies to grow the company as a global media brand, the organisation has also deployed another accomplished media personnel, Segun Otokiti to head the Abuja Bureau.
Otokiti’s media journey started as Lead Writer with The Comet Newspaper (2001-2003); Senior Reporter with The Nation (2006-2008); Assistant Editor with the Nigerian Compass Newspapers (2008-2012); Co-publisher/General Editor, Total Education Newspaper (2013-2014); News Editor, National Daily Newspaper, Lagos (2014-2017). Until his deployment to Abuja, he served as the Group News Editor, WorldStage since 2023.
Also newly joining the editorial team of WorldStage as Senior Analyst is Olusegun Elijah, a graduate of mass communication who has practised journalism for over a decade. His experience and training cut across general reporting, investigative journalism, long-form journalism, and business reporting.
Commenting on the new appointments, the President/CEO WorldStage, Adeleye expressed joy that the highly sought after Famoofo shared the vision and agreed to join the company at this crucial period in its journey.
