…As transformative NOGIC Act policy raises local content from 5% to 56% to strengthen indigenous capacity
In her welcome address delivered on behalf of DMG Nigeria Events Limited and the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) at the opening ceremony of Practical Nigerian Content (PNC), Wemimo Oyelana warmly received all delegates to the 14th Practical Nigerian Content Forum.
She highlighted that “This year’s gathering comes as Nigeria marks 15 years of the NOGIC Act, a transformative policy that has raised local content from 5% to 56%, strengthened indigenous capacity, and expanded opportunities across the entire oil and gas value chain.”
Oyelana noted that the PNC 2025 theme, “Securing Investments, Strengthening Local Content, and Scaling Energy Production”, reflects a shared national mission to unlock capital, drive production growth, and convert increased local participation into sustainable economic impact.
She also extended sincere appreciation to the Government of Bayelsa State, as well as all partners, sponsors, speakers, delegates, and media stakeholders whose continued support enhances the reach and relevance of the PNC Forum.
