Mrs. Joyce Akabogu, CEO OTL Africa Downstream Energy Week

In her closing remarks at the OTL Africa Downstream Energy Week, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mrs. Joyce Akabogu thanked stakeholders and participants for playing vital and important roles at the event.
Akabogu appreciated the Advisory Board led by Otunba Adetunji Oyebanji, the CEO of 11Plc and President & Chairman Governing Council of Chartered Institute of Directors of (CIoD) Nigeria.
The OTL CEO also appreciated Dr. Emeka Akabogu SAN, Clement Isong, Executive Secretary of MEMAN, Dr Sheila Addo, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of National Petroleum Authority of Ghana among others including the Planning Committee for their commitment towards OTL.
Akabogu thanked over 65 speakers who spoke at the four-day event, “your contributions have added depth and a lot of weight to the discussions in the industry.”
She mentioned the lead sponsor, Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), NNPC, Mocoh, Rainoil, 11Plc, NIMASA, Eterna, Bovas among others.
Industry sponsors MEMAN, WIEN, DAPPMAN, WEOG, PiCNG and Dangote who facilitated a tour for participants to visit the refinery were also mentioned for their support.
“We thank the entire industry for attending the event including secretariat team and those people who worked behind the scenes.”
The OTL CEO reminded participants that discussions from the event will not be left unattended that it is not a talk show.
“We are neither regulators nor operators. We just provide a platform where discussions took place and do not intend it as a talk show.”
“Every year in the last 19 years, we’ve collated these highlights and comments from these discussions.”
They will be channeled to appropriate authority for action.
