NOG Energy Week 2025: Seplat, NLNG, NNPC, Renaissance, Oando, Others, Win Awards

It was an excitement at the NOG Energy Week awards which brought the event to a close as companies won various awards. The event which was principally sponsored by Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) was attended by key oil and gas industry leaders and stakeholders spearheaded by the Ministers of State for Petroleum and Gas.

Presentations were made with panel sessions where salient issues bothering the industry were brought to the front burner. The event saw the emergence of some companies including awareness and branding of some indigenous independents such as Renaissance Africa Energy and Nembe Exploration and Production Company Limited.

The NOG Energy Week 2025 best exhibitor stand was won by NLNG. The award was presented to Dr. Sophia Horsfall, General Manager External Relations.

The best exhibition stand showcasing excellent capacity in the Nigerian energy sector went to PANA Holdings.

The category for sustainability energy award 2025 which beams its spotlight on exceptional initiatives and groundbreaking efforts to propel the industry forward towards achieving its decarbonization goals was won by Oando Clean Energy.

Operational excellence award recognises superior performance in operational efficiency. This includes projects and businesses that optimise processes, reduce cost, enhance reliability and uphold sustainability. The award was won by First E&P.

The NOG women in leadership award recognise women in energy with proven leadership skills that foster growth and development within their sphere of influence. This award was won by Audry Joe-Ezigbo, Vice President of Falcon Corporation.

The indigenous company year award was given to a Nigerian company that has excelled in previous 12 months in areas such as innovation, activities, knowledge, leading to a positive change within the industry and shown itself to be a major player in every specific part of the oil and gas value chain. This award was won by Seplat Energy Plc.

The Nigerian content contribution award is awarded to a stakeholder within the oil and gas industry that continues to implement strategies and initiatives in line with fundamental policy initiatives of the NOGIC Act through value creation or addition to the Nigerian economy, development of capacity utilization of Nigerian human material resources and service.

This category of award was won by Coleman Cables and Wires.

The Rising Star of the year award recognises an individual who has excelled in the Nigerian energy industry and demonstrated potential of being a future leader.

Kayode Adebulugbe from Green Energy International Limited got Rising Star award.

The equality in energy award which recognises organisations that have excelled in equality, diversity and inclusion was won by NNPC Limited.

The NOG Energy Excellence Award was awarded to a member of the Nigerian oil and gas value chain with a major project milestone that has made a positive commercial or technical contribution to the Nigerian oil and gas industry and has held exemplary standards in activities and initiatives over last year.

The milestone award was won by Renaissance Africa Energy.

Director DMG event, Odiri Umusu, appreciated sponsors and exhibitors for their support and the vital role they played for the international oil and gas event.
On her part, Sophia Mbakwe, Executive Vice President Business Services of NNPCL spoke on behalf of the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the company and thanked sponsors, exhibitors and guests who graced the occasion and event and the awards night.

Mbakwe commended DMG, host of the event including the two Ministers of State for their presence in attending the event with utmost attention.

The EVP was excited and called for collaboration and innovation in subsequent NOG events.
