Nigerian political figure and grassroots mobilizer, Hon. Sodiq Adewale Omotayo, has extended warm congratulations to all newly elected Local Government Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, and Councillors across the country following the recent local government elections.

Hon. Omotayo, a leading aspirant for House of Representative, Ado/Odo Ota Federal Constituency and Chief Executive Officer of Hasbunallah Global Travels & Tours Limited, described the outcome of the elections as a bold testament to the strength of democracy at the grassroots.

“Your emergence is a direct reflection of the people’s trust and confidence in your capacity to lead,” he stated. “Local government is the most direct arm of governance that touches the lives of ordinary citizens. I urge all elected officials to lead with accountability, compassion, and clear developmental goals.”

He emphasized the critical role local government officials play in shaping community development and restoring public trust in government institutions.

“You have been chosen to be the bridge between the people and government. Let your tenure be marked by transparency, accessibility, and real results that improve lives,” he added.

Hon. Omotayo also commended the peaceful and transparent conduct of the polls in many states, applauding the state electoral commissions and security agencies for upholding democratic integrity.

In his remarks, he further praised the efforts of the state governors who facilitated the electoral process, and acknowledged the foundational contributions of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his enduring commitment to strengthening democracy across the nation.

“We are witnessing the fruits of long-term democratic investments made by visionary leaders. It is now the duty of this new generation of grassroots leaders to build upon that legacy and deliver purposeful governance,” he concluded.
