Richard Mutanda , Cluster Director Sales and Marketing, Continental Hotels Group

While billions worldwide will watch FIFA World Cup 2026 on television, Continental Hotels is ensuring Nigeria experiences it as a full cultural festival.

From June 11 to July 19, Lagos Continental and Abuja Continental will host continuous activations that fuse the passion of football with the richness of Nigerian culture and global cuisine.

The Cluster director,Sales and Marketing , Richard Mutanda who unveiled the package said both walk  in guest and in house guest will.gave an unforgettable experience all through the mundial .

At Abuja Continental, the hotel’s Pool Bar becomes a 10m x 6m outdoor coliseum. Under open skies, fans gather against the backdrop of the hotel’s architectural terracotta blades to watch every match in daylight-visible brilliance.

The experience is deliberately Nigerian: “Suya by the Pool” serves grilled delicacies with a vibrant twist, while Beer Buckets loaded with spring rolls, samosas, and beef kebabs encourage communal cheering.

Weekly Salsa Nights add Latin rhythm to African nights, and “Magical Mondays” spotlight expertly crafted cocktails.

The June 21 Father’s Day Brunch elevates the family angle — live stations, indulgent classics, and desserts — proving the venue is as much for family memories as it is for football fever.

Lagos Continental counters with indoor stadium energy. On the 5th Floor Sports Bar & Lounge, a 5m LED screen and surround sound create a club-like atmosphere.

Between matches, fans can test skills on a mini soccer pitch with professional goals, challenge friends at foosball and table tennis, or engage in beer pong tournaments.

The “World Cup Sunday Brunch” series at Ekaabo Restaurant is the culinary star: each Sunday travels to a different football culture — Mexico, Canada, USA — culminating in a World Cup Finale Brunch & Closing Celebration that promises to be Lagos’ biggest football party.

“Whether you’re here for one match or all 48, you’ll leave with a story,” said Richard Mutanda. “We’ve built more than a watch party. We’ve built a celebration of the beautiful game.”

The “Stay & Play” packages, offering up to 50% off luxury rooms, make Continental Hotels the only place in Nigeria where fans can combine world-class accommodation with 24/7 World Cup entertainment.

For the Nigerian diaspora returning home and international visitors, it’s being positioned as the definitive destination to experience African hospitality during the world’s biggest sporting event.
